We're thrilled to celebrate #GivingTuesday on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024! This year, we've set an ambitious goal: to raise $50,000 in 24 hours!

Hitting this target will push us past an incredible milestone$1,000,000 in total funding to the Duke Brain Tumor Center since KMF's inception in 2021!

This is your official invitation to take part in a very exciting moment for our young but mighty nonprofit organization. We can't reach our $50,000 goal without YOU! Together, let's make history and bring HOPE to those fighting brain cancer.

A Milestone in the Making

Since KMF began operating in March of 2021, we've proudly donated a grand total of $950,000 to the Duke Brain Tumor Center to support groundbreaking research and clinical trials targeting the most aggressive brain cancers.

This year alone, we’ve contributed $300,000—but our work isn’t finished yet. With your support, we can raise an additional $50,000 before the end of 2024, pushing us over the $1,000,000 mark in total funding to Duke.

Together, we can reach this incredible milestone! Every dollar raised and every social media post shared brings us one step closer to a cure and to giving someone else’s Knox a shot at a longer life!

Giving Tuesday is a global movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. We're thrilled to take part in this day of giving happening around the world on Dec 3rd, 2025! The funds raised here at KMF are funneled directly to our research parters at the Duke Brain Tumor Center to fund innovative research on the most aggressive brain cancers—high-grade glioma and Glioblastoma—so patients can have a shot at a longer life.

On Tuesday, December 1, 2020 our namesake Edward "Knox" Martin, Ill, beloved son and brother, cherished friend, and a Warrior if there ever was one, gained eternal after kicking brain cancer's butt for three years. He was 24 years old. Then, what began as a friend's compassionate desire to pay for Knox's funeral expenses, led to the creation of seed money for the Knox Martin Foundation for Brain Cancer Research.

Our Story

Our Research Partners

Today, fueled by the memory of Knox and the shared determination of donors spanning generations, the Knox Martin Foundation partners with the Duke Brain Tumor Center to fund clinical trials for high-grade glioma (brain cancer), giving warriors like Knox a shot at a longer life. Since our inception 3.5 years ago, we have funded three new FDA-approved clinical trials with our research partners at Duke.  The world's brightest minds are focusing their expertise on dismantling the barriers of high-grade glioma and Glioblastoma.
